Visiting for the First Time?

We realise that coming to a new church for the first time can be daunting, and so to make it as easy as possible here are some practical things to know:

We suggest arriving around 10:15am. If you are driving, there is plenty of free parking. There will be someone to greet you at the main entrance. They will be on hand to direct you to the right place and answer any questions you might have.

If you are coming with your family, each week there is a full children’s Sunday School program for 5 to 11 year olds, and a fully staffed creche for children 6-months to 4 years old. Children can be dropped of at their classes from 10:25am.

Grab a cup of the complimentary coffee that’s available before the service and find a seat.

The service starts at 10:30am. We normally enjoy around 30-35 minutes singing modern, lively praise and worship songs led by a contemporary band. After this worship time, there’s brief interlude for announcements and news of the forth coming activities of the church. During this time we take up an offering. It’s an opportunity to support the work of the church. However, we DON’T expect our visitors to make any contribution to this; so please let the basket pass you by without any embarrassment.

The meeting continues with a time of teaching, where one of our pastors (or someone invited by them) will preach from the Bible in a way that is inspiring, instructive and edifying, explaining the depth and wonder of the good news of Jesus Christ, as revealed in God’s Word. We tend to use one of the modern translations of the Bible (the English Standard Version (ESV) is our current favourite). If you don’t have a Bible,
don’t worry, as we have copies freely available.

We usually wrap up the service with another song and there may be an opportunity to respond to the preaching that morning. By now it’s normally around Noon. Children are ready for collection from their classes and everyone is invited to stick around for further refreshments and to browse our resources table.

After every Sunday service our pastors are always available to pray for you, provide you with more information about the church, or answer any questions you might have.
